I think I got the answer to your question.Originally Posted by FHM101
Did your car make some kind of clicking noise before you swapped the diffs?
I had a lot of trouble with my buggy: gears slipping: drive gear to diff main gear, bevel gears on satelite gears, and beside that the outdrive slipping on the bevel gear axles.
The problems started in the back and the buggy drove on frontwheel drive most of the time.

Does anyone know when the half nine diffs will be available and how much they will cost?
Looks like they might already be available from shopkyosho.com
Part numbers IH226 and IH226-1, presumably you would need two of each.

Around $72 for a full set of two diffs.
No, it was not making any kind of clicking noise. I (mistakenly) thought I'd finally blown my stock rear diff one night at the races, and already had the ST diffs built and waiting for when the stock buggy diffs died. When I got in to it the diff was fine but my rear pinion was stripped. I replaced both pinions and installed the ST diffs and my little buggy became an instant rocket. With the 3 stock buggy diffs, it had plenty of power and acceleration for our little track, but the ST diffs turned it into a little red rocket.Originally Posted by erik_dedobbeleer
I'm still running the original stock center diff and slipper assembly, and other than some rough gears where a little sand found it's way under the cover, it's still working just fine.
Well if anyone can confirm that these will fit my H8 I'll buy them! I've got everything else for my BL swop I've just been holding out for the diffs.Originally Posted by JakeE
I beleive you only need one small, but I intend to order some and see.
