I got this from a note together with Xray's battery packs.

"Cycle the battery pack before using for the first time."

Set the charge current to 1/10th of the capacity.
    -in your case, 140mAh

Charge for 14-16hours.(restart your charger if it peaks or set the trickle charge to be at 120mA

After the 14-16hours of charge, Let the pack "rest" for 1 day.

Then discharge the pack @ the capacity of the pack
    -in your case, 1.4A
Set the cut off voltage to 0.9V. this equal 7.2V for you.

After discharging, Let the pack rest for 6 hours.

After all these, your pack is ready for use. You can charge @ 1.4Amp and use it in your car.

Hope this answers your questions and doubts.

    Hey.
So winter came and I ended up never buying one last year.
I'm going to buy one now.

The old links in this post dont work anymore.

But I'm looking at this one:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Duratrax-Pir...QQcmdZViewItem

    http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxp4005.html

Its around half the price of the other ones that was linked to in this post.
So is this one any good?
It will work fine with my battery pack (picture in first post), right?

looks great. I opted for the deluxe peak and had constant problems. had to buy a good 13.8V powersupply. now works great.
