    Hi .

I like my quark. Its easy to program, and has a higher amperage than other speed controls (33 as compared to 25).

quark33a pro-car with hyperion 6000kv works very well in the ST.

for 8cell or 2 cell lipo, go with the hyperion. For 3 cells, the Aon's torque is much higher.

Understand the hyperion 6000kv is actually more than 1100kv faster than the Aon. It is believed that the hyperion uses a different meathod for kv. Also, the hyperion 6k long can would have even more torque, although certainly not as smooth as the aon. It's really up to you. I'm planning on getting the quark ESC, and using the aon with the 3 cell lipo on the H8.

mambas do have heating issues in the larger trucks. if your going to get a mamba go with a mamba 5400 it has more torque for the bigger trucks. you CAN run the mamba tho don't get me wrong i would just not recommend it.

I have that motor and ESC and my car. It gets hot, because its the same size as the mamba motor. But itll definitely get it rolling and rolling FAST. If you have the stock motor mount, however, youre gonna have to modify it.

I'm told that speed control is great. the motor is crap. You want an Aon or Hyperion 6000 depending on what power you want to run.

Default I've run both the aon and the mamba motor...

...and the aon stays loads cooler. In the Seattle area I can get away w running the Mamba 5400 on a smaller, tight track (run a 10 tooth). But the aon is the way to go.

The mamba esc is fine (IMO - I have not run the quark - but everybody loves them).

    I would also strongly recommend going w a 3-cell lipo or 8-cell nimh - I have some 8-cell packs if you're interested

The batteries are half the equation - the higher voltage, the less amp-draw per watt - hence, go w a 3-cell - it will keep everything cooler.

Go to B-P-P.com - they have package deals (they have 5% off until tomorrow) - plus you can call them and get ideas/recommendations. Good Luck - and have fun.
