Thread: seal gear cover

    Default seal gear cover

    I always get some dirt inside my gear cover,which isnt healty to gears.
    How do you guys seal it?
    Im thinkin of puttingsome thin silicone around the cover edges any other ideas?

    Aaaachem... I threw it out, that flimsy, little, nerve-wrecking thingy.

    If you look close you will see there are other spots around the case that let the dirt in.

    It becomes a dirt box.

    Open it up and nothing can stay in there it just throws it out.
    The 3Racing case is better, then no more dirt problem

    Trick, what about the 3Racing case? are you talking about the front and rears?

    I thought we were talking about the center diff.

    Actually, replacement parts for the H8 are much better than the originals. The chassis is better, the plastic for the diff housings are better (expecially the center diff housing.)

    The cover for the center diff is MUCH better than my stock one. I actually use it, although meshing the pinion is a pain in the ass because I have the CAW top plate.

    Has anyone found out anything about delrin center diff gears?

    I was talking about the center diff case from 3Racing it is very open and dosnt trap dirt, end of problem.

    and tinking "wy 3 rancing didnīt manufacture a diff case with space for the gear cover"

    because the center diff is not that exposed to let debris "enter"...with the body on...

    think i wont by the GPM diff case now...
