Default I get the basic idea, but...

I know that this forum is mainly for the Kyosho half eight, and so the logical thing is to have a forum for the 1/8 scale version... but not all of us have kyosho 1/8ths (i'm assuming) so why not make it a more general 1/8 discussion area? I know I run an MBX-5, so a kyosho 1/8 forum doesn't help me much.

HNT - good to see that you're still around. It's all good. Anyone that has any questions, let us know and we'll get and answer. I'll update my profile so I get emails when you post.

in this price i recommend to you on the o.s. vz-b [not the v-spec]

I have the VZ-B V-SPEC on my mbx5 and i do enjoy from him from all tank of fuel...
i think that on this price the vz-b is the best that you can get

yes the clutch system will work on the vz-b ,but
if the engine on your lightning is't with pilot shaft you will need to buy a new nut for the vz-b [5$]

I would assume most stock 1/8 scale 2 and 3 shoe flywheels and clutches will work on most motors w/ a pilot shaft. Like dude mentioned from above...if not just get a $5 nut. I have a trip-7 sp2 w/ The Werks Collari B3 mated w/ an Ofna JP-1 pipe and header, geared 46/13. It does scream! Almost too much bottom and just enough top on 100-150' straits. Would recommend a JP-2 for open tracks though. Good Luck!
