Default [help] Complete Assembly Of H8

I am about to take my whole H8 apart and re-assembling it for installing the CAW metal chassis and other hop-ups.

I have the manuel, but as you may all know, the manuel is rather not that helpful. It consists of certain assembly of small components and a major big dissected diagram of H8. No step-by-step instruction.

Now, I need advise from you experts...

    (1) Where should I start my dissembling? Take out the front differential section first > then the rear differential section > then the center section?

or I should take out the center section first?

    (2) Anything I should be extra careful with?

    (3) Re-assembling is simple the opposite of (1)?

    Thanks!

twist the front torque bar off of the front top plate. Then take the 3 screws out that lets you take the wing off (remove the 4th screw holding the rear body mount to get it completely off) Then take all the screws out of the bottom of the chassis.

That should break everything down into 3 piles. Keep your front diff/arms/etc in one pile. Keep your rear diff/arms/etc in another pile. Then keep your chassis, center diff, top plates, servo, etc in another pile.

Keep your front diff screws with your front diff and so on.

Trying to figure out which screws are 2.6mmx8 vs 2.6mmx6 is a lot easier if you only have 20 to look at instead of 60.

    Thanks bro!

But what is the front torque bar? Is that same as the bumper? Why twisting? It has a screw on it. Can you inform me the part # of front torque bar?

The rest I can understand. Thanks!

the front torque rod connects to the front top plate (right behind the front tower), and goes down to the front of the center diff. It is a rod with 2 ball cups.

    Okay I see. Silly me.

But, since I am taking the whole H8 apart, would it be easier to remove it after I unscrew the all screws at the bottom? So I can remove the whole "3 piles" from the chassis and pull the front torque rod out easily. Or I must do the twisting first?

I did that once because I wanted to clean it. Its a lot of parts:

And at that time, I did not even have a manual ...

My advice: don't disassemble the whole thing at once, do it step by step as pimpsmurf said. Putting everything together again will be a lot easier then.

    Thanks bro,

Do you recommend I start the disassembly in this order Front > Rear > Middle? Or it doesn't matter. In what order did you do yours last time?

    Thanks.
