    Exclamation Phase 17

...I had a set of the FIVESTAR knuckle washers for a while...I finally lost a lower one on the weekend so i compared them with the KYOSHO ones...Well I wont be using KYOSHO anymore...The FIVESTAR unts have a superior fit and eliminate the goofy 7mm screw...I can now use 6mm on BOTH top and bottom...They have slightly more nipple INSIDE the caster block and the fit and feel is just so much beter...

...I nudified the blue KYOSHO knuckles and they came up really well...In the close up you can see the washers / spacers i used...I use two; ONE 0.3 shim and ONE 0.2 shim...PERFECT

What did you use to attach the heatsink to the esc?

I used some really strong 3M double sided tape...holds up great...bit gooey after the heat it gets but it works no problems...i do NOT want to lose this sink because it works so great. it was expensive and ind its RED

Hey Bit, to lessen your chance of loosing your nice shiny red heatsink you should use a cable tie around it.. Just make sure it's not on too tight.. ie.. circuit board of Mamba bending..

to take it a step further, run the cable tie through the heat sink first, then heat it a little with a lighter(off the ESC) and twist it 90 degrees so that the tie can bend around the ESC better.. A pic is worth 1000 words, here it is.. It's not a pic of a Mamba but you get the idea

Just a suggestion.. I don't have a Mamba so I don't know how hot they get. Will this even work?

    Good luck guys.

it should work, as long as bits super kung foo grip doesnt snap the mamba in half. i just mount my mamba next to my motor and my fan cools it, works great.
