 Hey guys! I have been upgrading my mini inferno lately, and a guy @ the lhs talked me in to the Golden Horizons 4700kv bl motor. Does anyone else have experience with this motor? I was looking to hook it up to my mamba esc and run it off an 8-cell pack made from gp1100 cells. ...
i want to get the Rocket 400 motor but i was wondering,, can the stock esc handle it? and can i safely run 8 cells with it?? also what gearing should i go with? thanks
how do I go about this? This has to be the most informative forums when it comes to answers... I have a losi insane motor (hop-up for the lst) in my 18t and well... it wont turn. I bought it used from a trusted source but he cannot refund at this time and I cannot send back to have worked on...
Well, decided to install one of my Trinity 14t Cobalts (borrowed from the MLST) in the ST to see if how much torque this little motor has, or doesn't have. In the MLST, the torque was just crazy running two of them and one motor would actually power the truck just fine too. So I had high hopes. ...
Website shows this as different part no.s. Does anybody know on what the difference is between the two motors. Can the ST version be used on the buggy ?
They will do alright, but the outdrives are super weak. The best replacement is the kyosho cups. They are holding up MUCH better than the 3Racing titanium cups, and they were about the same price. You need to make sure your gear it propperly (11 tooth seemed to work great for me on an 8 cell),...
I had a mamba 25 set up with a mamba motor (6800kv i think.) played it with 3 cell lipo and it was fast. took it home, cleaned it and a few weeks later i tried it again but the motor was real jerky. and it got really hot real fast that it melted the plactic protector on my work table. I...
Hi I got my motor tonight and the wire connectors are totally different than the tekin ESC. what is the best way to get around this? also the shaft does not have a flat on it for the grub screw. have you guys made one? or just put a 2 MM pinion on and tighten it up?
Has anyone tried this motor in there HALF8? I am currently running a Rocket400 with 7 Intellect cells but my pack starts getting a little "soft" at the 6 minute mark (7 minute mains). I used to run the BAJA motor in my mini-t and it was fast!.. but.. it is physically smaller than the...
I just upgrade my inferno with xspeed motor and bearings for the diff.I am running on 2S lipo and looks that the speed does indeed increase.Using the stock esc/rx unit can the xspeed take in 3s 11.4v lipo? Thanks.Anything which i could add in with low cost?
i seen a mini lst run today with a mamba setup, the guy didnt know or remember at the time which he bought, bu that sucker was super quick, what should i be looking for in the brushless setup. my lhs has a mamba setup but i dont know which one, will find out when they open after holidays. what...
ok dont use this motor on the H8, it screamed like mad in my micro rs4, but in the H8 doesnt seem to do the trick, so i ordered up a Rocket 400, now i just need to get pinion gear to go with it, any suggestions???
nevermind, im dumb and figured it out Thanks, Mike
which motor have a better performance on mini inferno?
which is faster w/ an 8-cell pack? speed 400 4.8V , speed 400 6.0V, rocket 400 or the x speed? compare to stock
Around here I read a lot of good things about the "Rocket 400". But nobody seems to know who actually makes them... Isn't there anybody who's got it who can take a look at the motors sticker or packaging for a clue to the origins...? Also/else, does anyone know of a retailer, web-based or not,...
Hey guys, After getting fed up with the lack of torque and cogging on my Mamba setup I decided to switch back to the brushed configuration. I wanted to use my existing 3-cell Lithium cells so I tried these: Setup #1: Futaba MC230CR Apogee 1660 3-cell Lithium Graupner 4.8 volt (stock...
hey guys, do i still have to solder those capacitors just like in the stock motor? what for and what kind? where can i get them? tnx ADRIAN
I've found a very basic way to break in new motors. If you can run a new motor at 1/2-1/3 votlage for 20 to 30 minutes, it is a very basic way to seat new brushes to the comm. ;) My new X-Speed and a 6volt break-in setup.
can i use a speed 400 6V motor on my mini inferno? i'm using the kyosho 8-cell battery pack. anybody tried it??? btw, thanks for all the help guys!!!
