Hello fellow Mini Inferno'ers,(does that work? :p) Well I got my Wraith 7k motor today and ran it. But before I get to the review I would like to give a big thanks to Troy over at www.b-p-p.com. I've talked to him on the phone and he is a super cool and knowledgable guy. I was going over...
We ran the car in a indoor track in HongKong. Rather small track Run time about 15mins. Need to use RC18T pinion on the motor because the hole on the kyosho pinion is bigger. The motor got a little hot but was ok, we then added a heatsink.. We had a great time with the system. One more...
Hello from Germany! I have put in a 480BB Motor into my Half8. I drive that Car with 7.2V Cellpacks and it is very fast and drives very very good! I have throw out many Things from the Chassis and put my own selfmate Things into it! Today my 9.6V Cellpack arrives!
I just tested my new motor from http://www.hobby-lobby.com/speed400.htm It is at the very bottom of the page and it is called the rocket. It is the same size as the stock motor with a slightly shorter can but it has a plastic endbell. It is a 4.8 volt motor so I expected some seriouse heat...
...ok...i have a theory that i needed to get out there before i started on it, plus i just needed to look like i was busy for about an hour ;) ...The motor is getting very hot...both brushed and brushless are getting very hot... ...this is what i think... ...The slipper is creating a...
Is there Any company's that will have aftermarket motors out , or has any one annonced it?
Hey guys...Been awhile since I posted last. I am rebuilding my MI back into the Truggy Version as there is more clearance for my new electronics using a truck body. I fried my old Quark Pro Car 33a ESC and found a nice new Quark Roadster 65a ESC on Ebay to replace it. It'll be paired with a NEU...
Hi, I want to upgrade my stock motor, when looking at kyosho's website I saw this motor named "X-SPEED HALF 8 HT MOTOR " click to see Is there anyone who use this? Does HT stands for high torque? Thanks.
hi guys. i just want to ask if someone had used RAD 400 on their H8? i am currently using the speed 400 race 4.8V with an 8-cell pack which is pretty good/fast right now. it just gets hot always til the ESC stops. i am thinking how will be the RAD400 on our H8 compared to the speed 400 race....
I think it`s a greate car! But even with the x-speed in it the acceleration is very slow! Anyone more then me that thinks so? The only thing i really imagined with the x-speed was that the car went a little faster, but not the fast that i thougt it would be... I`ll hope that the 8cell GP batteri...
Does anyone have a mamba 8000 on their h8? I hear that the h8 is super slow out of the box and it needs a better motor. I just wanted to know what people (who own the mamba) think about the performance. I would like to get my h8 around 35-40 mph. Can this be achieved with the mamba 8000 and maybe a...
Recentley got a mini Inferno ST. Had a lot of fun since I upgraded the battery to Kyosho 9.6v 1100Mah battery set but would love a bit more power. I was thinking of going for the X-Speed motor at first and see how I got on. Is there anything else that will give me more speed without going...
I just upgrade my inferno with xspeed motor and bearings for the diff.I am running on 2S lipo and looks that the speed does indeed increase.Using the stock esc/rx unit can the xspeed take in 3s 11.4v lipo? Thanks.Anything which i could add in with low cost?
i have fitted a speed 480 race motor in my rc18t.. it has crazy speed now,, almost comparable to he mamba 8000. since the mini inferno comes with a 400 can motor do you guys think there is enough room for the speed 480 motor,, ,, and this motor with 8 cells rocks,, im currently using...
Is there a brushed motor made for the Mini Inferno that can keep up with the brushless selection out there? Lemme take a step back & explain my situation. I own an almost box stock MIST (new rec/speedo/motor/servo), that I like alot. I almost strictly race it, so I go for performance over bling....
Hey guys, After getting fed up with the lack of torque and cogging on my Mamba setup I decided to switch back to the brushed configuration. I wanted to use my existing 3-cell Lithium cells so I tried these: Setup #1: Futaba MC230CR Apogee 1660 3-cell Lithium Graupner 4.8 volt (stock...
Here's a picture of my Mamba 6800 installed in the H8, loaded it down with LRP heatsinks and it doesn't get too hot at all. Very impressed wth this car so far :D ! I haven't got to run it much with the weather like it is down here in Southeast Louisiana, but it's given me the time to work on the...
I've found a very basic way to break in new motors. If you can run a new motor at 1/2-1/3 votlage for 20 to 30 minutes, it is a very basic way to seat new brushes to the comm. ;) My new X-Speed and a 6volt break-in setup.
