Hello fellow Mini Inferno'ers,(does that work? :p) Well I got my Wraith 7k motor today and ran it. But before I get to the review I would like to give a big thanks to Troy over at www.b-p-p.com. I've talked to him on the phone and he is a super cool and knowledgable guy. I was going over...
...Here is the motor I believe, after MUCH discussion and umming and ahhing over hot can coffee and cigarettes, to be the stock motor... ...There is more on the PAGE than in the picture... ...Dont worry about what appears to be a heat sink on the diagram...a heat sink DOESNT come...
After burning the first one, thought would be careful with the 2nd. Ran it at low speed for 3-5min when fresh. Used 12T pinion (thot wud help reduce load) never more then a single battery pack at a go, 2 x GPM heatsinks. Must have done 4 packs over a few days at most. Today half way through a...
are the Grapuner 300 motors good for the H8?? I know you need a 300 adaptor for it. Have one in my Mini T and love it. also getting a 8 cell battery pack. this too much for the stock motor and electronics?
Hey I was woundering if a 480 brushless would be too much for the mini inferno? And do you think it would fit if I did the motor mod, and put the motor in the back?
Hello from Germany! I have put in a 480BB Motor into my Half8. I drive that Car with 7.2V Cellpacks and it is very fast and drives very very good! I have throw out many Things from the Chassis and put my own selfmate Things into it! Today my 9.6V Cellpack arrives!
Hey! I just wondered, is if possible to fit a 540 sized motor in a mini-inferno?? Have anybody tried it?? It would be quite cool if it worked... :D
Is it possible to squeeze a 540 in this bad boy??? Any pics if so... Thanks in advance
Wow, went from 6 cell batteries to 6 cell NiMh. The difference was huge. Is the step from 6 cell to 8 cell as big again? Or am I going to get better performance by going to lighter lithium’s. Car is totally standard. The only thing I really want to do is put the lower ratio 12 tooth gear on the...
ok dont use this motor on the H8, it screamed like mad in my micro rs4, but in the H8 doesnt seem to do the trick, so i ordered up a Rocket 400, now i just need to get pinion gear to go with it, any suggestions???
and tightned the diff by one click, I found the car become nosier than before... Is that normal or I have messed up my installation? BTW, do you found that the "dial" (hex bolt) for diff. is very hard to turn? I did hold the big central gear steady with other hand.
I just upgrade my inferno with xspeed motor and bearings for the diff.I am running on 2S lipo and looks that the speed does indeed increase.Using the stock esc/rx unit can the xspeed take in 3s 11.4v lipo? Thanks.Anything which i could add in with low cost?
Hi I got my motor tonight and the wire connectors are totally different than the tekin ESC. what is the best way to get around this? also the shaft does not have a flat on it for the grub screw. have you guys made one? or just put a 2 MM pinion on and tighten it up?
Hi, now I'm using the x-speed sp motor now but I want to try the Atomic high speed motor. This motor is 22 turn, as long as I don't know about x-speed specifications I want to know that if stock esc can work with a 22 turn engine, as second I want to learn if it fits without any modifications. Can...
had a few ?'s about brushless. 1) IS THERE A BREAK IN POCEDURE FOR BL MOTORS 2) DO BL MOTORS HAVE LONGER LIFE? 3) DO THEY NEED MAINTENANCE? 4) ARE REPLACEMENT PARTS MADE AVIALABLE 5) HOW DO I MAKE A MOTOR LAST ITS LONGEST, AND/OR PERFORM IT'S BEST thanks for looking, feel free to...
Has anyone tried this motor in there HALF8? I am currently running a Rocket400 with 7 Intellect cells but my pack starts getting a little "soft" at the 6 minute mark (7 minute mains). I used to run the BAJA motor in my mini-t and it was fast!.. but.. it is physically smaller than the...
anyone try the beast motor from one18th.com for the mini quake yet
im on a low budget. what do you think the best brushed motor is for all around use. also what are some other good upgrades. total should be around $100. kory
Hey guys, After getting fed up with the lack of torque and cogging on my Mamba setup I decided to switch back to the brushed configuration. I wanted to use my existing 3-cell Lithium cells so I tried these: Setup #1: Futaba MC230CR Apogee 1660 3-cell Lithium Graupner 4.8 volt (stock...
I've found a very basic way to break in new motors. If you can run a new motor at 1/2-1/3 votlage for 20 to 30 minutes, it is a very basic way to seat new brushes to the comm. ;) My new X-Speed and a 6volt break-in setup.
