The first batch of chassis's are done! The chassis will allow the motor to be located in the stock position or rotated 180 degrees and be mounted towards the rear of the car (as in the photos). This is only advantageous to people using a brushless motor due to the fact that the motor will need...
My name is Ronny, and I'm from Norway. This is my first post here. I race 1/8 buggy for Mugen Seiki, RB Mods, Racing +, Neo-buggy etc. I just had my Half8 with me to the 1/8 OR Euro warm-up in France, where I gave the car a real run for it's money on the 2005 Euro's track. The car is equiped...
I'm wondering if I got the right grease for my diffs. I understand a lighter grease is better for the rear diff so I got Kyosho 3000 grease for that and then Kyosho 5000 for the front and center. Should these work ok?????
The 3 Racing diffs just came out and I imagine noone has tried them out yet but I was hoping to get some information as to which diffs I would be better off with. I read that ball diffs aren't very good with a brushless (from ronny's corner I believe) and that the ST diffs leak. I am looking for...
I have been trying to solve my diff problems and now when i run the car and i hit the throttle you can hear the engine spinning but the car barely accelerates. Does this mean i've stripped the center diff or the other diffs? I think i'm going to have to buy all MIP diffs so I can actually use this...
when I roll my car on the ground it seems theres a point on my center diff that binds. If I roll the car slowly it binds enough that the wheels will stop spinning. I took my center diff out and same thing happens when I spin it with my hand. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Hey guys I picked up a mini inferno from the LHS last week, jumped on the net and found this site. I have been wanting to put one tenth tires on the mini inferno and have ordered the trinity adapters, but could not wait. So i made my own UJ's that accept MTX3 hex adaptors. What do you...
Hi guys, I'd like to know for a quiz-game, what kind of text we can find on the factory-tires of the halfeight. On the net there is no picture which could help me, so please help if you can. THX in advance, GKK
What are some good all-around tires (if such a tire exists) for the H8. I want to get some that are made for the H8 and not 1/10th scale. Also, what are some good carpet tires?
What weight oil should I run in my shocks for on-road and carpet? Also what spring stiffness should I choose. What about for off-road? I thing I should use medium or stiff springs. I'm thinking about getting the 3-racing shocks. What problems occurs with them? I read about the mod in the...
Where is a good site to get most of the items to do basic upgrades? including kyosho parts if possible? I know minihobbyshop has some 3racing, but no kyosho =\
just wondering if these were worth anything? I mean, for the money, this doesn't look bad... http://cgi.ebay.ca/Yeah-Racing-Alum-Hop-Ups-Set-A-Kyosho-Mini-Inferno_W0QQitemZ6022985317QQcategoryZ49213QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem but not sure how they will hold up?
anyone tried? worth while? just wondering if any attempts, haven't seen anything anywhere
well, I think they are not oil filled or empty? I can't drop the h8 from 2 inches with out it bottoming out!! I have a quick $50 I can blow and want to get at least one good pack since the previous owner only has some rechargable AAs in there (or so it seems!) so I was thinking at least one...
Just wondering if any of the other cars shocks work? just found out my lhs will only order integy (bleh?) or kyosho (I can't afford $60 for shocks) if I have to guess I can drop the $25 for 3 racing from minihobbyshop
Just wondering because they include the hardware as well and are a little less expensive than 3 Racing... but I'd hate to save $15 or so and not be happy with said shocks, and hubs. also, is it "mandatory" to upgrade knuckles when doing hubs?
my wheels wobble... but they don't fall down (sorry, weeble reference had to be done) anyhow, my front wheels seem loose, but they are tightly screwed. i have the plastic hub and knuckle still... is it something wrong with the knuckle?
Would these Atomic screws and collars work with the 3r alloy knuckles? I lost a screw and collar because I didnt lock the screw down enough and don't want to have to buy new knuckles just for the screws
I just got an alloy wing mount from 3racing, and I'm having some issues getting it to work. To get the screw to go through the holes in the front of the wing supports and the little piece the rear torque rod attaches to, i have to push that piece forward because the wing mount holes are farther...
Plan on getting a steering rack to eliminate all the steering slop, but dunno which to get. Alloy, graphite, or titanium? 3r, atomic, or gpm? Also anyone know where I can get some titanium center shafts? cant find em anywhere
I found some Duratrax dogbones that are a perfect fit to replace the stock plastic driveshafts. The part number is DTXC7475. It contains 4 steel dogbones for $12. The stock driveshafts are less than 0.2oz, while these steel driveshafts are a little over 0.3oz.
The Atomik slipper gears may be cast, but they shredded my Team Orion pinion gear which is made of brass. I think I'll try the Associated pinions next. :)
