GP1100's are a bit more powerful than the Intellect's, but the Intellect's last a bit longer. So for racing get GP's, and for bashing get Intellects.

...on PURE personal preference I would go GP over Intellect...In the long run, in this case, go GP

...like most 1100 batteries BOTH the Intellects and GPs get better as they are used more...You will get more happiness from a pack that is on its 10th charge compared to its FIRST charge...Basic bashing or loops round the park or up and down the street in front of the house on asphalt i get 25-30 minutes on a freshly cooked pack...This will differ slightly on the surface etc you are running on and how 'dialed' your car is...I know this is pretty general but i hope it helps a little :o

The Intellect pack that my g/f kid uses last for 23 minutes on gravel circuits and around 26 on tarmac or parking lot.
One of the biggest secrets to "zap" a NiMh pack is to discharge it till 0.10 right after run it and under a fan set. For that you will need a Much More charger/discharger and fan set (at least thats what i use) or similar because most of the chargers wont discharge so low and dont have a setup where the device comands the fan turning it on and off through the reading of the pack heat.

wow thats quite a lot ! With 6 x AA (2500mah) Sanyo batteries I only get 3-4 minutes of peak performance and a total of arnd 20min of run time. Surprised that these battery packs with only 1100mah rating are able to provide such high run times :-)

ok i rigged my servo (worked for like 4 minutes) and found screws and the verdict is they work well. there is a little cogging but the batts are 1200 and the pack would only charge to 1000, they need more time. i will cycle them and hopefully get the parts soon so i can actually drive.
