ok i will be getting a mini inferno in about 2 weeks, i have a mamba 5400 and i will be putting it in the h8. i need to kno what pinion to use and anything else i need to make my h8 run for a long time. i dont have much money so i need a list that is essentials. i will get another list from ronnys forum that has the ultimate hop ups. the h8 has a batt pack and oil shocks. thanks.

i wouldn't suggest Using mambas in H8's cuz i heard they tend to heat up a lot. i know that if you want more run time you should go w/ a generaly smaller pinion. If it helps

MATT3833. Just heat sink it. Yes it tends to get hot. But heat sinks will do a lot. As far as gearing...... what is your final want? Top speed or raceing? The best thing is to get several and play with it under the conditions you will use most of the time. This will also allow you to taylor it to your abilities and the abilities of your spicific car.

People use a 13T with the 6800 motor so you might want to start from there...

Don't gear it for too much torque or you'll end up killing your drivetrain. I've heard that hot brushless motors tend to kill diffs and gears.
