I was just wondering...

How big should an track for the H8 be?... I know this isn't much to make a new thread for so maybe everyone could post some lay-out sketches with measurements and stuff...

Grtz

50x25 would be a really nice area (generally 1:10 is on average 50x100)....but work with the space you have!

...somewhere online i saw a place, i think it was a company, that had a competetion for best Mini T track...There were some really good ones and the pics they had of the winners showed some great layputs and gave some great ideas...I will look for it again but if anyone knows where it is? It may eve have been a forum somewhere but i cant remember now...

If I recall correctly, Losi sponsered the Losi Mini-T track contest. Also, track specs are in the ROAR rules if anyone wants to review them or attempt to scale down a track for the Half8.

Those tracks are really nice...pure eyecandy... I don't have space in my backyard for a track anyway i guess... But at the moment the whole neightborhood is under contruction so we have some of those construction roads by the front door... those would be great to bash around on :D

looks good...though the single in the middle may block that turn (visually)...I like the sweeper with teh burm because that will force peole to cut high to gain speed for the straight. maybe make a back double into a tabletop double so you can sky the double or table to jump if you don't carry enough speed...but looks good

thanks BitHed :D

btw. it's supposed to be an 9mx6m track if you take 1m for the width of the lanes. but you could make it bigger.

wow...thats is PURDY

maybe ill make something like that for my lakehousetrack...
about how tall will the jumps be? big enough that if you hit the throttle nice and hard you clear the second jump on the double....
i dont exactly what the green that goes onto the track is supposed to be? grass? why let grass grow on the track?

i think you should cover one of the turns with very very small bumps that disrupt the car alot making it unstable and prone to rolling or flying off the track at tha turn.... it would make it very hard but it would be fun to watch

It's something like fake grass... to have some different surfaces

It has that, it's just hard to see on the pic.

There are numerous track layouts in Gallery TNB at MZR. RCP Tracks also has a track design program that can be used. In addition, RCP Tracks will probably be demo'ing several Half8s at RCX so stay tuned for photos of those layouts.

Hello to everybody,

I'm David, from Barcelona, Spain.

From last weeek we are testing the nex mini Inferno cars, to improve his durability and their racing succes.

Next 24th of april we have yet the first race.

To celebrate the race we will use a 1/18 outdoor race track with a jumping rampage. These rampages are made for the skateboards anf for the freestyle bycycle shows.

Here you have the link to the rampage images:
