...Here are the close up and personals of the new tire range on the spoked rims...

First the X-treads with their combined weight...90 grams...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/bithed/S5300097.jpg

and then the Micro-Blocks which are essentially the same as stock traeds but SQUARE nibs instead of round 'pin' ones...Funnily enough these are a smidgen heavier...95 grams...

To those of you who run the X-Pattern wheels: how do you like it? I got mine on saturday and I like who they change the whole look of the H8:
http://www.janniz.de/micro/spoked01.jpg

http://www.janniz.de/micro/spoked02.jpg

http://www.janniz.de/micro/spoked03.jpg

I feel they have a little less grip than the original pin-tires, but I liked that when running on carpet, because the car easily flipped with the pin-tires. The spoked rims seem to be a little better than the stock ones, but I allready have some little cracks after driving on a little outdoor track for about one and a half hours.. I guess for an outdoor-track with loose surface the micro-squares will be just right: they should have as much grip as the pin-tires but a little stronger rims. I'll try those soon because I like the look of those spoked rims.

By the way: a friend of mine did some video last weekend - I'll post it as soon as I get the DVD...

Do do Police DI's love to throw stuff as much as other DI's or TI's.....Well, when I was in boot camp (USN) we were more concerned about screwing up and having our CC (Company Commander) smack us along side our heads! Happened many times, he didn't waste time throwing things, he busted our asses. We were the brigade company graduating boot camp, which means we were squared away & won the competition that boot camp ultimately is. We were very proud of ourselves. :D Of course when I got to the fleet none of that mattered. ;)

That was a long time ago, 1969.

How would the xtreads on a hardpackd dusty track do?

BitHed
10-04-2005, 03:10 AM

...Hammer gets two packs because his wife was going to hunt me down and harm me if she didnt get her own pack...Plus Hammer is a Mini Z clients AS well as a H8 client ;)

...Hammer i had to re-bag your rims because the shoplifting sticker on them didnt come off nicely and was all sticky and i didnt wanted to send it rhough as it might set alarms off...I suppose i should strat PAYING for stuff instead of the usual five-finger discount ;)

I love the panic toys decals in the package...they'll find a home on my half8

I caught up with the guy, gave him the note so I could get my shipment and he didn't even have the package on the truck. Took me two days to finally get it. DUDE! I had to hunt down my half8 because the substitute didn't leave it like my usual guy always does. plus, because of the change he tried to deliver it at 11am, when no one was home instead of 5. If my usual guy is early like that he stops by my mom's work which is very close to the house.

What a goober UPS can be.
