yes mate it's a mamba 25 with a home made heat sink thanks for the warm welcome it's got the 8000kv motor in it so should be fairly quick

Yea, that 8000kv (competition X) hauls, a buddy of mine put it into his H8 and it was seriously as fast as an 1/8. He had to take it out thou cause the ESC temps were way to hot. What did modify your heatsink from?

...You could open up your computer, and take out one of the heatsinks attached to you RAM chip, or some other chip and use that ,and use that; another would be going to a shop like Fry's Electronics and buy the heatsinks used for small computer chips. :D

The heatsinks a pc processor one that a cut down only cost a couple of quid and you can make 2 out of it

BitHead, thats just a RAM board heatshink you can get then very cheap, and in the geek city they probably will pay you to get them home with you lmao. I got one of those in both my Mamba ESC and also on the LRP Quantum of my 1/10. I made them out of a heatshink RAM plate and they work great because you know how it goes.. the cooler the better :D

What do you use to stick them down?

BitHed

...plainsimple...Shh...you are giving away all my secrets..lol...

...thedirt..double-sided tape of servo tape...same thing really...apparently there is some heat-conducting tape somewhere but i have never seen it...might be in automotive store...I have seen some sinks zip-tied to their surfaces...just as long as it makes contact i guess you could even just stick it on with gum :D
