From the world known hop-up part company that you see on the 777 and other cars, is now making alum. parts for the half 8. Some parts they have out are, front and rear shock towers, steering upper plate, rear hubs, front steering knuckles. http://www.gsracing.com/web/page.asp?pgs=products&catid=36

Fioroni is the best of the best though, so you get what you pay for. It's the same as buying designer clothes or anything like that, it's more expensive but it's worth it to some people. I may pick up the servo tray and the steering knuckles when I get some extra cash.

Those prices are over the top for a car of this scale. Seems the cuts are mostly for looks.

The cuts are for looks, but their stuff is superb. Price is a little tall for this scale though, you got that right. The 4 pieces I was watching on eBay didn't sell.

Could the cuts be for weight reduction too?...Fioroni's option parts for the Mini Inferno are so expensive, its not much of a question why no one bought the 4 pieces....With that money, you could buy most of 3Racing's more essential option parts. :)

The Fioroni stuff is milled like that for weight reduction, yes; however on a car this scale, that few mm's of milled aluminum isn't going ot decide who win's or loses . I got all my SATO purple stuff in today from dinball, the stuff is A LOT better quality than I was expecting, very good fit and nicely machined. I'll get some pics up once I get all the old blue aluminum off and get my plastic arms and purple stuff on ;).
