Welcome to halfEIGHT.com forums! :)
...If Nismo as in Nissan Motorsports, what's your favorite Nismo?
Mine's the 2005 580bhp Nismo Skyline, and the one that's used in the Paris-Dakar Rally. :D

Yea it is that kind of nismo. I own a s14 and that is my fav. Very well balanced but they are underpowered unless it has the sr20 in it. The s15 are also very nice I like the look but who can resist a skyline? lol

...You can put the Skyline R34's RB26DETT engine into an s15, maybe the s14 Silvia :D
Tommy Kaira Skylines are my favorite. :)

The Tommy Kaira editions are super nice. Did you hear that for 2005 that nissan was going to put out like 500 special edition r34's? They are soposed to have like 450 hp (i believe, but don't take my word for it) I was reading that they were going to be like 75,000. Thats crazy

and in the states that means well over 100k. thats if you can even find someone to import and legalize it for you.

nismo4life

It was actually 75,000 USD... And Yea you would have to legalize it and all that stuff, but I figure that if you can spend 75 g's on a car leagaizing it won't be a problem lol

probably not. but lets say you saved up enough to get a 75k car. then you spend well over 100k for it. that is stupid. just get urself a viper and be happy. or better yet. get urself a corvette and drop 10-20k into it.

Hey Nis....welcome

I'm friends with the guy that used to own the Motorex "Blackbird" Skyline.... it later became blue, then silver with blue stripes for a popular import racing movie :D

then it was painted blue again and sold.... now the guy's on his second Diablo

Importing Japanese cars to Australia is no problem...since it's right hand drive there too...I started to get bored of seeing so many Skyline R33 GTSs...American cars are REALLY bad...they are fast, but have such oversteering problems, that they will usually get beaten coming out of corners. :)...Too bad that the only "legalized" Skyline in production in America is the Infiniti G35, it's engine is so downgraded that you'll compare it to like a Toyota Solara. :D

Yea sure you can get yourself a vette or a viper but anyone in america can get one if they have the money. While im on the subject on vipers my boss actually bought a brand new one and it was damn nice. 2 weeks later some moron crashed into him and it got totaled THAT SUCKS. Poor guy. :(

Solara LMFAO...Yeah, the g35's blow lol. JK. I heard something about the skyline coming to America for 2008 or something. Nissan isn’t sure yet if they want to have it under the Nissan name or Infiniti because it's supposed to be like 70 grand. I heard something about the 2008 skyline having a twin turbo version of the 350z engine and it is supposed to put out like 400 big ones so that would do nicely, but who knows. I was reading that in some car mag but I forgot which one lol.

...Skylines coming to America with same specs as the Japanese ones are highly unlikely...unless the CA, FL, and some other states' laws that ban high performance import cars like the GT-R, are lifted...having cars imported now costs like 15k to get it legalized...A twin turbo version of the 350Z engine is like having the engine from the old Fairlady Z, the 350Z's older relative. :)
...Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII FQ400 has a 400-horsepower engine, that, too isn't allowed to be sold on American shores, I think.

...Well it's still a concept car, it looks more like the 350Z than a skyline...Wonder if it will be called R35 GT-R?
Do you know Nurburgring? The famous German track that's over 13 miles long, with over 140 turns? :)
