I wanted to say hi, I am about to order my white mini inferno from the shop here to help support them and all... I was hoping they will still honor the gift certificate, as I am jusy getting into these cool minis... I have been in RC on and off for 15 years or so, and instead of getting the new mini f1 boats, or a regular mini z, I have decided on one of these and trick ot out to the max...
hope to talk to you all very soon, and I love the layout of this site...

Welcome to halfEIGHT.com Forums !
If you're looking to trick out your Mini Inferno, start with essentials like Oil Shocks, and bearings from 3Racing or Kyosho, and United RC battery packs :)
Technical questions can be answered by an RC expert, everyone in the forums, except me :D

WELCOME WELCOME!! my name is Valentin (pronounced Val-en-teen) or V for short

holy inferno already covered the basic hopups to get this buggy goin smooth, o yeh, get some silicone grease, i say hmmm something pretty thick...so you can grease up those gears in the diffs, it gives more traction too! also makes the car more quiet :D and if u still got money left over, buy this BL (brushless :D) setup http://www.aonelectric.com/eShop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=T241549-Mamba

fits perfectly and is friCken FAST!!!

i recommend www.unitedrc.com for batteries, get the x42 8 cell nimh packs(dont forget those deans plugs!)

you just need the 8 bearings for the hubs...from Kyosho, $20; 3Racing, @$8; UnitedRC, $10...
Grease, silicone grease works, brands, just about any RC brand that sells grease, I myself use Associated Stealth Diff Lube, works fine... ;) don't buy diff fluids, it will run out...I've heard the Mugen Super Grease works best :)

...Try emailing CAW countryalloy@countryalloyworks.com
If you want wheels and tires (http://halfeight.com/forums/showthread.php?t=496&highlight=tires) other than the ones from Kyosho, it is covered somewhere in the forums, but I think the wheels are 26mm touring car wheels (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=26mm+wheels&FVPROFIL=++), but you'll need adapters, like the Trinity Itsy Bitsy Spider (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKBG7&P=7) ones or a modified RC18T one, as the hole for 1/10 wheels is 4mm, while the Mini Inferno's wheels have 3mm holes.
Hope that helps :)

thanks!!! I was wondering if the stock tires will fit, or will I have to get others? so I will need the caw kit AND the trinity adapters? I really want this car, but I was also looking at 1/8 nitro buggies like the ofna hyper pcr etc and the kyosho sport, and was wondering if they are really worth it... I still prefer electric, and this seems like the kit for me...:)

Nope...the Trinity Adapters can be used without the CAW kit, you'll need to grind/file down the Trinity ones if you want more threads for the nut to hold down the wheels...another option is to do the BitHex mod or Maxxenitout's mod, both of these mods are better overall than the Trinity adapters :)

is there a tutorial anywhere for any of these mods?
thanks

Hmm...Sleepy...
Bithex (http://halfeight.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213&highlight=bithex) Mod, not worth doing until your stock rims a seriously damaged...
maxxenitout's two mods, shaving down the Trinity Adapter (http://halfeight.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360&page=5&pp=10&highlight=adapters) and cutting the RC18T (http://halfeight.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533&highlight=adapters) ones...
Be sure to read the page for the Bithex and Trinity mods carefully, and read the whole thread about cutting the RC18T adapters.

I really would like to buy the adapters to just bolt on and not mod... I could do it but would prefer to have them done for me... what route should I go? will the caw kit fit with NO mods and wheels bolt right on??? lmk
