I need a little help. I know that there are two basic "mini" pinion sizes - 2mm and 2.3mm. The 2mm fit the Mamba line and the AON 4900 and the 2.3mm fit the stock motor and some BL motors like the MINI AC line, but what brands are what size. I think it would be helpful for people that are new to the mini scene to have a list of different brands and theirs sizes.
Thanks

...2mm shaft pinions are usually from Trinity, Associated, Robinson Racing, and HPI.
The only ones I know for 2.3mm are from Kyosho... :)

...Where can you find the Mini AC line of motors?

duratrax and atomic make 2.3 as well...however, I believe the pitch is different.
My local LHS carries AC motors, so you should be able to get the from www.hobby-loby.com

I got my MINI AC 12/15-12 from Aeromicro.com a couple weeks ago - but now they don't show them on their web site. They had them for $79 - Hobby Lobby ( http://www.hobby-lobby.com/model_motors.htm) has the same thing for $90. Its the 300 size in the middle of the page. I also found them at http://icare-rc.com/modelmotors.htm on sale for $79.00

I got a question regarding the shop and pinions:

As I see, the shop is selling Kyosho pinions, so they seem to be 2.3mm.
Why aren't there 2.0mm pinions for the Mamba sets there? (hint!) ;)

Right now, I would have to shop just for the pinion somewhere else... :(

I'd think twice before using that motor in an H8 or any car for that matter.

I bought one after reading good reports but I've just exchanged it for an Aon because in the end the motor will get destroyed by a bit of grit or other debris that gets inside your shell...Not worth the risk of a relatively expensive motor IMHO. In these cars you need fully enclosed motors...period.
