From reading other post, I have noticed that people that have been running the comp x set-up have had issues with over heating, seem like the motor has to much RPM's and not enough torque. But since I have never run it, I'm not exactly sure. I myself started running my half 8 with a lehner brushless that had the similiar specs. as the mamba 6800kv, and still had issues with it getting alittle hot. I have since changed my set-up to this one and have no further issues....

this is the combo...

I dont know if you have changed your radio but with this set-up you will have to get another receiver and radio. Hope this helps, but there is alot more smarter people on here than me, and you should be getting alot more help....

i spent a butt load of dough, i ordered a mamba6800kv set up, hitec hs85 mg, jr xs3 with rs300rx no servos. i am thinkiing of getting urc 11.1v 1660 mahpacks but will the esc, rx and the servo be ok. also what kind of charger do u all use for these urc packs. also i have the x speed and the kyosho 9.6v pack now, i can remove the battery protection and just strait hook it up correct? the reasoni ask is the battery protection is getting in the way and won't stay mounted, almost got the wires caught up in the pinion mesh.

also can some one give me link for a heat sink for the mamba. :D

...Heat Sink (http://b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=g_20mm_heatsink) to wrap around the whole Mamba...choose your favorite color :) Look at mine in my avatar :D

...With LiPo batteries, buy a good LiPo charger, or those competition chargers like the Great Planes Triton, or Duratrax Intellipeak ICE...I think your electronics should be able to handle 11.1v, the Mamba-25 ESC certainly will.

You can remove your battery protection unit, and use the HPI connectors all around, but if you want to a have minimum resistance in the connections, change all the plugs to Deans Ultra or something alike.
