I ordered the first ones... so we'll see what they are all about when I get them... they look heavy though... same with the Tamiyas

and I should have the HPIs in a couple of days

they have the hexes at Tower... (I bought mine from my LHS but they were hard to find...I tried six places before I found them)

FYI... I got the MRC Rally tires in yesterday 6/22 (finally...took them long enough) and they are SWEET.... the tread is really deep...they are lighter than I thought...and they are SUPER soft... can't wait to try them out.... I'll post a pic later when I get to work (I left my camera there and it's 4:29a right now... I need to go back to bed instead of sitting up here talking to you all :D)

Here they are...

these things are so soft... they're like gummy bears.... I almost want to chew on one..these things could be the ultimate setup for clay/bluegroove/loose stuff

the inserts suck though... big foam things that don't even let the tires seat on the wheels (like the old Tamiyas)... in the pic, the inserts are out... I have to get some medium low-profile molded ones...

Ya... ex bike racer here... (BMX then Road...then mountain) plus my aunt died of pancreatic cancer and my other aunt has it too now so I have to represent

Tires... ya they are really soft and squishy... the tread is really soft too... actually I just felt my stock tires (that came with the car) and they are THAT soft... which is pretty darn soft

BTW... I like the hpi rally tires as well (the spikey, non-pirelli ones) it's just that I bought the medium/firm ones so they might not be as sticky on bluegroove... but in the softer loamy stuff they'll work great.. they have a lot of bite

Has anyone tried mounting HPI Super Nitro wheels and tires? They make some rally tires that were on the super nitro rally.

Check out this thread some of the pics show the super nitro rims and tires mounted but I don't think any1 has actually run them yet.
