While i'm waiting for my 6800 and 25 Mamba combo to arrive i'm curious about trying a Xspeed/LRP IPV V7.2 esc. Does any one knows if a schottky diode is needed?
I've been trying to find the xspeed specs but it seems that they are not available anywhere

A schottky diode has no purpose other than to prevent reverse voltage. So if you install one, you will NOT have reverse or if you try reverse, it will fry the diode. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info... i thought so and i dont think that the Esc has any reverse option and i dont want it to begin with... thats why i was asking the question...
Who cares about reverse anyways?! lol :D

...i think there was a disclaimer in my LRP paperwork that said something about NOT fitting a Schottky...I know for SURE there was a warning in with the RC18T paperwork...

...speaking of which, is the lump on the new TEKIN stuff a Schottky? Or is it just pleased to see me?

no shottky. It will be an internal capacitor. Or its happy to see you*
