dude seriousely...half8 man!!!!
It all depends on what you are going for and what you would be expecting of it. If you do get one, understand that their are issues with it so you are not suprised when it shows. If all else fails, keep one and buy another... hahahaha ;)

Looks like somebody sat down and enjoyed a nice bowl of sugar...
chil man. I have raced at socal and the half8 would clear most of their stuff. I could easily clear it with a mini-t but they handle like a$$. No worries. If you truely want something, you will find a reasonable way to achieve your goal.

I will tell you the truth, if you have a lot of money to spend on the hops up then get the Half 8. If you don’t have the money then don’t do it. This thing out of the box is the biggest turd I have seen in a long time. You could go to Toys “R” us and spend half the money and get something that will go twice as fast.

Now if you have money to spend then that’s a different story all together. Just blow like another $300 and you will have a bad ass little buggy.

The "CALL FOR PRICE" part of the listing actually means what it says :D . I bought my MP777 from them for $320 but the price they listed on their web site was $419...but was preceeded by "CALL FOR PRICE".

I don't know about at the store but through the mail it worked out.

it will be the same in the store. hobbyshops have to follow whats know as a MAP or Minimum Advertised Price for certain products. when they recieve new shipments in, the invoice will state if their is a MAP or not. It is just a legal agreement with the Distributor and Manufacturer so that they can not adveritise an under-selling price. But that is only advertising. Ultimate has the best offers I have ever seen short of ebay. I stumbled upon their store in cali one time after breakfast and it is packed with stuff. Its like those old-school hobbyshops that have stuff wall to wall with like 4ft of walking space. I will admit that Bithead has some awsome prices though too. I bought my shocks from him and they were cheaper than every other place I found.

Did you forget sales tax? Instore v. Online? I should be going to Ultimate sometime this weekend, so I'll find out if I remember to ask if and when I purchase something. Was the other store Southland Hobbies?

yeah but thats for in-state. you don't see many shops like that here in colorado. My old work was larger but didn't have the stuff they had. LAst time I checked with Ultimate though, they offer pricing in store pretty much identical to the online, unless its under the online specials.

We'll do our best to match any (shipped) price you see elsewhere, just email shop@halfEIGHT.com and we'll hook you up. Plus, you're supporting the Forums, and who can put a price on that?! :D

5x8... Be patient wait for the pro / special version, with all the upgrades it will probably run around $250 to $300.
