Any one running 30% fuel? Is so what plug are you running hot or cold. Does any one know where to get glow plugs other then Kyosho as I the 09 plugs have a smaller OD where the treads are.

I was running Traxxas 30% all summer with the cold plug. It ran really well for me. Lets see some pics of your ride...

Traxxas has WAY too much oil for my liking! If you would like I can post links about high oil content fuel does more harm then good. I will not run over 12% oil content! I am going to try the hot plugs as that is what I run in most of my 1/8 buggies that I race often. You can fine-tune an engine by the glow plug if you know what to watch out for. All the Pro drivers do it. Thanks for the input. Here is my 09 next to my Hyper 8 which has well over 9 gallons on it and help me come in 10th place in the Georgia Championship series. I will have my new Hyper 8.5 ready to break in shortly. Right now I only have around 25 RC cars and trucks as I sold some.

I have been running 30% in my 09 now for well over a gallon with a hot plug and still running fine with temperatures around 220 to 250 with out a problem. There is not any spark knock and no pitting in the top of the piston. Matter of fact I run 30% with a hot plug in all my nitro vehicles some with well over 9 gallons on them still running fine. Matter of fact even the manual on the 09-engine states fuel with nitro content of 15 to 30%! Yes if you are not an experienced RCer you should not push the limits like I do.

I do not think I have gotten my 09 over 250 Fahrenheit yet but I run many of my nitro race vehicles at 250 to 280 all day long with out a problem. I know many that run even higher but I like to stay under 280 if possible. I have run some heats my temperature got up to all most 300 and the engines still went 4 or 5 gallons or more. On my race nitro vehicles I have a temperature sensor and can check temperature by pushing one button on my TX.

Normally when running 30% nitro you engine runs cooler do to the fact you have to richen them up more then when running 20%. Yes I agree running to rich where your engine does not get up to at least 210 degrees is not good as running to cool is as bad as running to hot. This is why on break in it is VERY important to make sure your engine gets up to temperature as you are running so rich and many times need to wrap the head to get the temperatures up.

This is from my last race. :D
