have got this 09, the RX batteries are quite small 6V 500mAh, now did someone try another battery pack to it, does it work with 4.8V, but more mAh ?

I don't know of a pre made battery pack that will fit. When I bought my 09, i didnt have a charger for the battery so I bought a charger that came with a reciever pack that i thought for sure would fit...but it doesnt. I guess stuff like this is the price you pay to go small. How are you liking yours so far?

Use a Novak voltage regulator (about $20) and a 7.4 volt 2-cell lipo in the neighbourhood of 700-900mah and that should fit fine. I am able to use a 1500mah in my CRT .5 with this system.....Works Great!

Dumb question as I know very little of electrics these days, but what's a 2-cell lipo go for, pricewise? If it makes any difference I'm in the US.

Double check on that though, the CRT is 1/12TH scale or close to it isnt it? Thats alot bigger than an 09. I've seen a few videos of the CRT .5 on youtube and I was pretty impressed with it. How do you like it?

Probably a 2 cell Lipo would work, after all it's close to 6V, but then I am afraid to not take it out before it goes under 6V, which damages the pack forever.

Other packs with regulator ? Oh well, there is not too much space in the receiver box ...
