Dont know where to start
Well stock not doing it for me anymore well all most all stock, has a X-speed SP motor and wheel bearings...
I have been doing alot of reading, here and other sites, my mind is getting overloaded with info, but i'm liking this site better and hoping that someone might see this (Not trying rule out everyone but i hope BitHed see this, read alot of your post and you seem to be the man), and be able to help as i'm a BIG NEWBIE at online shopping, this will be my first time :p

I want my H8 to be strong and light as you can see i give it hell
I want to go faster but i dont need overkill, just about overkill...
I'm after things that are bolt in and go as i have a disability that effects my fine motor control so i cant to do much custom work....i got into H8's so it might help my fine motor control...

In the end for me, it would be great to buy everything from the one place
I'm looking at buying things in May or there abouts

Cheers for any help

Doug

Are you using an 8-cell battery pack? That's probably the best bang for your buck upgrade. After that if you want to go faster I really think you need to go brushless (although I never tried one of the Rocket 400 or Speed 400 motors which I hear are pretty good.) And with the higher amp draw of a brushless setup, it probably helps to go lipo. I did both at once and haven't really tried a brushless/nimh setup so I don't know how well it works.

On the strength side, you'll probably need to upgrade the diffs but other than that I don't know what commonly breaks. I started there and didn't stop until everything was upgraded. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Good Luck!

P.S. What's on the front of your buggy? A headlight?

Cheers for the info..i have found a place that does Brushless ESC and motors there is this one (http://rcb.shopnz.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=578_640_482&products_id=123&osCsid=15af385e176835d8abbfdbff6427bed6) and this one (http://rcb.shopnz.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=578_640_482&products_id=8501&osCsid=15af385e176835d8abbfdbff6427bed6) thought these one of those would do for bashing

I have a Wraith 7k in my buggy and an AON 4900 in my ST (which is still being built.) You'll also need an ESC. I use Mamba 25s and like them, although they really need a heatsink as they run hot. I hear the Quark Procar 33s are cooler, but lack some of the options on the Mambas, especially if you have the USB cable to program the Mamba. Try searching the board for more info on what setups work and where to get them. You'll also need a new receiver and maybe a new servo (if you still have the 4-wire one.) Again, search the board for specifics.

Yeah, maybe I'll have to strap some lights on mine. Last time I had my buggy out at night you could see the LEDs on the Mamba through the windshield and it was pretty cool. I think I have a bunch of super bright white LEDs and a little housing around here somewhere... great, another project that I don't have time for :D
