View Full Version : Ball diffs in a 09?

Anyone try the front or rear ball diffs in there 09's? I am at the end of my rope screwing around with the stock diffs and before I blow any more money on this thing I was hoping someone has some input.

i think the ball diff will slip entirely too much unless you crank it down untill it work anymore

how are you blowing diffs so often??
im just curious
mine seems ok with repeated abuse

How are do you keep blowing them?

I wish I knew...only one jump on the track and it is very flat. Front and rear ring/pinion and the little internal ones strip out sometimes also. I have about $100 in the diffs. I just built 2 complete diffs and replaced the ones I have in there and they still go.

Why would the ball diff slip? Doesnt the electric versions have more instant torque? I remember having ball diffs in my NTC3 and they always did fine.

went to LHS today and nthey had a full front and rear uprated diff by kyosho for the 09

not sure if its cos kyosho know the std ones are weak!!!!

im totally forgot the part numbers but if anyone is interested i can get them for you!!!

Actually the Nitro 09 comes with metal diffs.
