I use a Duratrax ICE - I charge the United RC 8 cell 1400 RS2 Packs at 2.5 amps.

Have great punch and runtime with the Wraith 7K and Quark 33 Pro ESC.

I have a Swallow 2. It will charge almost anything. But I have charged my 1400nimh 8cell at 1.5amp. But will start to charge at 2amp. When I get it back together.

Interesting all the low charge rates. As I have since read after spending heaps on a swallow 2. That for extra punch. The charge and discharge cycles should be at higher amps than what the Swallow will do (only goes upto 5amp).
Was reading things about 20amp discharge and 15amp charge. Is this true or did I read wrong?

What sort of run times you getting???
i got that motor esc combo coming in the post and got some IB1400 packs.

2.5A is that not to high??? i was told you shorten the life of the battery charging over 1C..

Yes my mistake - You can charge at 1.5 amps for the first 5 charges and then 2 amps thereafter. This comes from the United RC website for the batteries they use in their race packs.

Using the United RC 42s packs I am getting about 15 min. Depending on my driving style.
