I just brought a Mini-Inferno. I also got a 9.6v batt pack also. Just wondering what the max safe Voltage is for the std motor. As the guy at teh LHS said something along the lines of 8.4v is the limit.
Can anyone help. As I havent had it long enough to deceid if I want to upgrade everything yet.

Kyosho sells an 8cell pack for it, so I'd say your okay. They also recomend (but don't require) a voltage regulator. I know lots of people here have ran them on 8 cell's with no problems.

Cool thanks for that.
Only been playing in side with the 8cell pack. And I hope it goes heaps better than running 6cell outside. As I was quite dissapointed with the performance with 6cell.
Was already looking for power upgrades. But will see how the 8cell pack goes.

8 Cell pack is alright. I got a custom 1400 pack from cheapbatterypacks.com But you really need nice motor to go with it.

Well at the moment stil running std motor just to play with and learn to drive. But am happy now that I have tightened up the slipper. Drives much better now, I even get wheel spin.
They batt packs I have look like these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Intellect-1400mAh-9-6V-Batteries-Kyosho-Mini-Inferno-H8_W0QQitemZ230052836155QQihZ013QQcategoryZ84443QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
But I got them of a different seller.
Pretty happy at the moment. Bit different from driving a 1/8 Nitro.
