I need a new reciver, one that can have a BL motor and also a brushed one. I would like to stay with the stock transmitter/27mhz... thanks.

Any AM 27 mhz reciever will work. It does not matter what kind of motor you have.

SO this should work no worrys with the std H8 Tx?

And would work with a HS85 servo?
Also would the stock crystals work in it?

Well my stuff from BPP finely turned up. And am now wondering how do I get power to the RX?
I have quark33procar, wraith7k and 8cell Nimh or 3cell lipo to use for power.
As the ESC has 3 wires that goto the motor, 2 to the batt and a servo wire.

Now theres no plugs on anything yet. Other than the servo wire. Just wondering how to do it. As I have read somewhere that RX's and servos dont like much over 7v's.

if you have a Brushless esc then it should have 3 wires from your esc to the motor and a universal caonnector to go to the 2nd channel of your Rx then you plug the servo into the 1st channel of your rx. and plug your 8-cell or lip to the battery wire on your ESC.

oh yeah...if you have no connecors on your esc then you will need a deans ultra plug and solder/solder pen to make your connections. this means you have to have matching plugs to your battery.

mmm ok. I get confused easily. So will take some pics tomorrow or thrusday and show what I got and then get advice.
As when I brought it I got some deans plugs. They where going to be pre-soldered but it didnt happen.

Actually I understand now. The RX get its power via the servo lead coming out of the ESC. Which also runs the throttle/brake/rev function.

Cool that means I just need to put the plugs on the motor and the batt plugs.
