I just received the 3Racing kingpins from The Shop, but when I opened the package there were no screws, just the four kingpins :( .... does anyone know what size screws go into the kingpins/knuckles?

3mm? 4mm? how long?

I'm using the alloy knuckles if that helps... I heard that the Atomic screws are too long... so if I can go to my LHS or hardware store and stock up, that would be great

this may have been discussed before but I can't find it in the search

I'm using 3R knuckles with Atomic kingpins/screws... the difference is night and day from stock. Shoulda gotten the Atomic screws, they're just fine.

Well everyone's been saying that the Atomic screws ae too long and they cause binding... oh well... Thanks

anyone else with an answer?

Maybe some people are using larger al. inner hubs or something. But mine don't have the least bit of binding, and turning is exceptional.

If the screws are too long, just grind them down a bit with a die grinder (Dremmel).

I've re-tapped my 3Racing nuckles to use M3 screws - they seem to stay put a little better. I've also swapped out the king pins for some 4 x 7 x 2mm bearings - the conversion is all a bit of a hassle but it's worth it in the end.

My 3R knuckles came with M3x.5 threads.
