does anyone know of a good 3s 11.1v lipo battery pack that can fit into the mini infernohttp://miniinferno.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif i'v never used a lipo upgrade before so i could use any help you guys can give. i'm gonna be using an undecided brushless motor system, i think i most likely will be using a 33 amp Quark control with a wraith 7k motor or mamba 8k motor.

With the motor position swap like that, you should go with the Hyperion Litestorm 1800mah 2s 7.4v for racing and the 1800mah 3s 11.1v for bashing/speed runs.

I have the Quark 33A w/ Wraith 7K. Go to: www.b-p-p.com and ask for Troy, he does it all (sales, customer service, and web) I have so much great things to say about his patience, professionalism and customer support with all his website products it's not even funny. Really great guy. Tell him "Aries" sent you.

Go with your first choice and get the Quark/Wraith 7K. The power/throttle curve is amazingly consistent. Great for any condition (ie. carpet, 1/8th offroad or just bashing around in the backyard.) The 33A has so many options within the manual that you can definitely tune without buying an external USB link for your computer. Watch out for the programming button though as it has a pin needle solder joint which mine fell off and got stuck with NiMh settings for awhile until I called "Troy" so he replaced it for free and was at my door across the nation 2 days later. He will work with you unless you try some shady tricks.

Good Luck. Sorry for the long post but I'm just trying to save you some money by giving you some knowledge...

I'll second the recommendations for the Hyperion packs and Bishop Power Products.

Any packs in specific? What "C"? How many amps? What watt class?
I have a wraith/quark combo Im looking to put 11.1v through and I have the same space/cahssis layout pictured above.

I have 3s packs similar to the one here (http://www.halfeight.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2505). I ordered both of mine here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290101459023). I think one of mine is 15c and the other 20c, but I can't tell the difference. I have a Wraith 7k on my buggy and a AON 4900 on my ST, both with Mamba 25s.

I went with the cheap lipos to start just to try them, but now I really can't see spending two to three times as much for the "brand name" ones.

I have my car setup very similar (but broke the CF upper plate after about 2 runs... lol), and a 3 cell 2100mAh Eflite pack fits quite nicely. The Thunder Power pack would be identical in size, but without the balancer. IMO that is better, because the balancer circuit in my pack broke a long time ago (I think it doens't like hard landings). Get the TP pack with the balancing lead (can be seen in JasonH's pic) and buy a nice balancer like the Hyperion one. Troy at b-p-p.com also has those.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend the wraith 7k and quark 33a. I've had lots of experience with the Mamba stuff, and the aon4900, and they just aren't as nice. IMO Aon 4900 is too much torque and not enough HP for this car (but it's great for a Mini-LST).

My TrueRC (http://home.comcast.net/~truerc/ready_pack/ready_packs.htm) 2100mAh 3S for my Quark / Wraith finally came in. They melted my spur after 4 high speed runs. It is 96mm long, 34mm wide and 18mm tall. Right now I just have it taped to the chassis. What options do I have for battery holders?
