is it just me, or has one18th.com been gone for a couple of days now? I know the "owner" was going thru a divorce... i wonder if the website is gone forever, it's just a technical issue, or if someone else will take the reigns from him?

Hey Habit and Nate, Savage-rocks from 18th. Fancy meeting you here ;)

This really blows, lot of info gone for all of us. He had several deals he bailed on and I think that has something to do with this, sounds like he was'nt that honest of a guy after all.

Well this is really a shame. There is a whole boatload of information and good people that are lost/dispersed now that that is gone. Hopefully someone that knows the ownder can take up the reigns from him and get it going again.

Let's use this board to keep in touch with where everyone seems to be going. This and one18th are the only R/C boards I've ever really used. What other ones have decent sections dedicated to 18th scale or Mini-LST?

oh yeah, hello there guys! at least some of us are still together!

its on its thrid day of being down now. I heard a rumor back that mike sold the site after the divorce so I am not sure whats up right now with it. I can try to call him but my guess is that his number changed do to the divorce.

He probably just bailed on it. Got out the easy way. Never was a straight forward guy IMHO. Trinity has an awesome forum and a dedicated Micro setcion, but there are all of 5 or 6 people that post there (www.teamtrinity.com) Tech talk is the forums.

what is your humble opinion based off of? I know mike personally and hes a very cheerfull and outgoing dude...its tragic what is happening with him so please show some respect....the site he had was great and free to all that shared similar interests. If the owner of half8 were in the same situation then it woulud be hard to keep up a free site

My humble opinion is based off the numerous times I ordered motors, parts, etc. and it was a sheer headache. Looking through the general one18th.com forum, I wasn't the only one. "Lost" emails, products, etc. I do online business quite often and have yet to have 5 and 6 important emails just disappear ;). It was definitely a good site, I've got 2k+ posts over there and 35+ positive feedback. The business side of it just caught up to him to fast.

he moose and habitforming. I joined one18th in ajn/feb and just started getting rep points and had about 10+ feedback ratings and now the best/most informative 1/18 site is possibly gone??? Oh well I just got a half 8 and stombled on this site ;) I had a lot of fun posting in the mlst section over at one18th with you guys! I wish mike would sell us the site rather than just bail on it. It could have been even better than it was with j.sbodies kicking but and if a few other modds stepped up! Anyways is the halfie a good car? I'll not clutter up this thread anymore and check out the rest of the site.

peace out

Aaron

I have been working on a new site dedicated to Mini R/C's (1/16th and 1/18th scales) and it can be found at:

www.minirctalk.com/forum

So far I the forum is up and 95% of all additional features have been added. I am currently working on the websites home page (its taking me a while since I am hand jamming the CSS, PHP and HTML myself). I would love to hear your input.

oh yeah and yes there is a Half 8 area...

Thanks,

Checked out Mini RC Talk - Looks great. I just hope that we can keep all the information consolidated so one does not have to look in multiple sites for the information they would like.

Yes we are having server issues, nothing is lost though, no worries. Will be back tomorrow once I have it set up.

I was on a trip till Really late thursday, tried to resolve the issues Friday and they didn't. This weekend I had to be out of town again and am now back.

So it will be fixed up tomorrow.

...we all go through rough times...Unfortunately it is usually the 'younger-yet-to-take-a-fall' members that get vocal first, USUALLY before all the facts are out there ;) A little time and a LOT of coffee and cigarettes and it all usually gets sorted out...

...Fight the good fight Graphix...We are all behind you...
