ok this is my setup. mamba 25 esc and hyperion 6000kv i have done the latest updates with my castle link software and esc firmware. it still cogs like made from a dead stop. now my question is, if you have a crappy radio setup would this contribute at all to this lame cogging??? i am using an older hpi rx and tx from an rtr kit. if it is not can someone help me with retuning my esc with the castlelink, thanks.

The important bit of information you're missing here is what batteries you're using. A battery that isn't capable of delivering 20A+ of instantaneous current (or wire that's too thin and chokes the current) are usually the causes of this problem, once drivetrain binding and firmware issues are taken care of.

i am using dean's ultra plugs, and whatever the sport 42's come with from united rc. they are not thin if thats what you mean. i am not sure the exact gauge. really it is getting annoying now. slow down for a turn and it coggs out bah. imma burn this thing to the ground. LOL
