Hello!
I know, Castle Creations is testing MiniInferno with Mamba... but I have to buy one mamba kit in two days (I've a big discount) so I'm asking which is the best kit to use on MiniInferno with 8-cell pack?
Are there disadvantages in using the most powerful (8000kv) one?
Thanks!

I usually buy things with the biggest number available. So 8000kv is the best bet.

However, you may have serious trouble controlling the H8 afterward. If you are after top speed in outdoor open area, go for 8000kv. If you play mostly indoor track, 8000kv is a waste of money. And you may seriouly damage you H8... high speed flying out the indoor track and hit walls in mid-air. :D

Hello!
Thanks... as I think I'll race mostly on indoor tracks is it better the 6800? Or 5400?

I talked to the guys at Castle Creations and they told me that the Mamba 6800 is the best motor for the H 8 that they offer. They sadi that with the way the final gearing will be that it was the right way to go. I personally have a 6800 on an 8 cell GP1100's pack and it is super quick. They also recommened a heat sink on the motor to keep things from gettting too hot. I use a heatsink that is offered by Bishop Power Products (http://www.b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=f_20mm_heatsink) . Give it a look ....

the 5400 has the most torgue and that is what the h8 needs. plus you have more gearing options. straight from cc. put the 8000kv in and burn it up. with the 6800 you need to run an 11t pinion and really watch the temps. even though i am going tekin, i am going 5400kv.

Just wondering, how fast does a Mamba 8000, 6800, and 5400 comparing to the Kyosho Xspeed motor?

For example:
5400 is 50% faster than Xspeed
6800 is 70% faster... etc

Can someone please do a comparason?

From other forum, not sure if the guy is joking or not, he uses a Mamba 8000kv with 3xLipo... He said the motor is so hot that it almost melt the plastic of H8 near the Mamba...

...I have warped some of the shape of the dust cover with a NiMH 8 cell and an xspeed so he is probably not joking...You could cook steak on my heat sink

That's what I'm running. It sounds like he better get a motor heat sink, vent that RC, and do a little adjusting or at least limit his run times. If he doesn't--I hope someone is standing by with a video camera.
