Hi guys,

I am thinking of to get rid of my ALign 430L 4050 and instead i'll going to make a new chassis next month with my Mamba 8000kv (or Dynamite CV 8000KV) on 6cell 4/5 gp2200 with the kyosho 12t pinion(the special version for brushless for 2mm shafts). Layout will be like the 1/10 touring cars: electronics on one side and on the other side a side by side 6 cell batterypack. I'll disassemble the drivetrain this week cause I found out that is not as smooth as I want. Besides that: I received today a RobinsonRacing 21t metric pinion which also not fit on the Atomic slippergear.

That high of a KV motor with only 6 cells in a heavy car like the Inferno will produce lots of cogging. You need to go with at least an 8 cell or so to get some decent speed. I don't get why you would replace your Align with a tiny weak Mamba. The Mamba is a much smaller motor and it will be running extremely hot. IMO stick with the Align.

The Atomic slipper gear is not a 48-pitch gear. Forgot what it was. Just run the stock gears. As long as the gear mesh is good you'll be fine.

So If Atomic uses a different pitch than the original than you have to stick with Atomic pinions, true or not?

I found a new motor (http://cgi.ebay.nl/B20-Brushless-motor-built-up-radiator-cover-16A-KV7210_W0QQitemZ110002165481QQihZ001QQcategoryZ340 56QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) I probably need another esc since it draws more amps. But I think with 6 cells ( or a lightweight 11.1 lipo) and 12t (IHW33-12 original kyosho pinion for 2mm shafts) my MI will be a rocket!

Why would you need a new ESC? The description says it's only 16amps.

It is a 180 size motor so I don't know if it has enough power for the MI. The Dynamite c4 is the same size and someone had no problems with it so I'll try it.
