Hello,

Is a Quark 22a enough power to run through the Mini Inferno, or do I need the Quark 33a? I wanna run a AON 4900 on it, and I could save some money just buying the 22a if itll do the same thing...

I would suggest the higher current, because you want to look down the road what are the vehicles you may be using. It is more likely that you'll go to either a higher KV motor (draw much higher current), or higher gearing (greater load => higher current), an onroad setup, or a heavier car/truck. So, personally I would consider the higher current controller first.

I am not 100% sure but I think you NEED the Quark 33A with an AON 4900 motor. Isn't that a 30amp motor? I don't think the Quark 22a can handle it.

bl motors are rated in watts......voltage x amperage=wattage.
If I remember correctly the aon is a 250 watt motor.
7.4v x 33a = 244.2w perfect match......

Hi AK,

You are partially correct. The max constant current on that motor is arount 25 Amp. Of course, you can spike that easily. More important is the amount of work that the motor is able to handle. That is generally measured through Watts, because Voltage has much to do with equation.

One of the neat thing is eventhough we list this particular motor at 200Watts. We have under different cases bring this motor all the way up to 450Watt under constant current situations without problem. So you see, it is only how it is played out with Voltage + load.

Anyone know whow to program this thing?
