I ruined my pitbull!

:D It's ruined because I accidently turned my basher into a carpet racer. It's still not finished. This is done with 1000 grit and metal polish. I'm still searching for some 2000 grit to make the chassis look chrome with not one hair line.

:D After the sore hands, black nails, and skin peeling from under my nails, I had to share. Clear coating would be a nice idea but it would instantly be ruined at the skate park. I just wanted to see this car shine for a little bit, then sell it or scuff it up.

Have you tried a Dico sewn cotton buff? You can get them at your local home labrynith along with an arbor that will work in a 3/8" drill. They also have small bars of different compounds for everything from initial cut to final color buff. It's advisable to get a seperate wheel for each compound and they offer wheels specific to each compound so it really makes it go much faster, not to mention saving the skin on your fingers. :D
