Can you put Lipos (11.1v 1400maH) into the stock setup, or will it blow th espeed controller?

Additiionally, doe anyone know how many mAh are ina standard 1.5v lkaline and why most nimh AA's are only 1.2v?

Cheers! :)

I ran my stock ST off of 3 lithium ions (11.1v 750mah). :D I even ran it with 14.4v lithium ions. The 14.4v only lasted for about 10 minutes then the servo went out.

Even though alkaline are 1.5v and nimh are 1.2v, the nimh will give you better performance. The car will run very slow on alkalines.

So the stock ESC will take 11.1?

:) Thanks for the reply, but the second part of my question was simply Why? Why are Alkaline AA 1.5v but Nimh AA's 1.2v (ordinarily). Secondy, what maH are standard AA alkalines?

Happy racing!

NiMH are of a different chemistry than standard alkaline cells thus the difference in nominal voltage. Lithium Polymers cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7, again because of the different cell chemistry involved.

What are your best run times , i can't go above 7 minutes with Xspeed motor(kyosho) and 9.6V 1100 mha (kyosho pack) ?
