Anybody heard of this or running it? LHS has the C-4 9000kv motor that's supposedly made with the miniLST in mind. Looks interesting....

its the same size can as a mamba. my lhs has 2 in stock, you can sponsor me via paypal to test one out :D . I'm just curious on it's characteristics, I'll send it to you after I try it out.

Picked up one a few days ago and I'm running it in my 18B. It's definitely wicked fast. I took out my 8000Kv Mamba and put it in my Half eight just to see what happens. I've seen everywhere that this motor wasn't supposed to work on this car but it seems to work just fine.

I also had the 8000kv in my MI but it gets very hot even with a heatsink and a 11t pinion . That's why I switched to the Align 430L 4050KV. This motor is running cool even with a larger pinion and the cooler the motor the better it performs

Hi!
Just wanted to tell you about testing the Dynamite C4 9200Kv in the Mini Inferno. Iīve used the Hyperion YC22S 6000Kv with the Mamba controller untill now, and this have worked great with 9 tooth pinion - very fast and funny, good torque, a little hot but not too... Now, Iīve just run the 9200 Kv C4 and.... This thing moves!!! Same pinion, motor bearely hot at all after emptying a 1200mAh Intelect pack. Read about the heat issues with the Mamba motors here earlier and was worried about this one.. no need!(Even if theyīre the same size). It may not have the same low end grunt as the Hyperion butīs almost the same. (It spins free anywhere, at almost ANY speed - even on asphalt... :D
Any question - just ask!

I bought that same motor for my mini lst but then became leary of the size and decided to put it into my rc18t with a 3cell lipo and all I can say is, it is insane!!!! Haven't been able to get a good high speed full throttle run yet.. I'll have to try it out in my mini inferno. Thanks for the info.

What is your runtime with 1200mah (8cells?) What esc are you using? Mamba?

just remember that mamba doesn't warranty use of 3cells with 8000kv or higher motors....

I use the Mamba, 8 cells (forget the cheap Kyosho/Mirage packs, unless you like to see the Mini Inferno breakdance with no speed.... :p ), LiPoīs I donīt own yet, but this one donīt need it; it would be too much...
Runtime, I donīt know excactly, but it seems to hold longer runtimes than the HYPERION. (Time flies when having fun :D - and consentrating to keep this thing on the road... )

Sounds great but can you run more than 5 minutes?

Had my eye on the 9200kv C4 - but was also concerned about heat on 8 cells.

So the 9200kv is not getting too hot? Had a Hyperion 6000 and it just got way too hot. Align runs cool - but I want more speed. I am running Tekin Mini Rage ESC.

I certainly think itīs more than that, BUT:

Iīll try to look at my watch sometime next time...this thing need full attention; The first test went straight in to some concrete my neighbour had placed on his property... :o - on four screaming stillstanding wheels, at least I tried to brake...

I actually like my MI now, so I have just finished a brand new body for it!!

My Hyperion 6000 also got hot, with same (9 tooth) pinion!..?

so your setup is Dynamite C4 9.2Kv motor, Mamba 25 ESC, 8 cells, 9T pinion.

i'm looking into getting the exact setup you have. i already got the 8-cell pack tho.

where can i get the pinion?
how hot are the motor and esc getting?
how fast does it go?

Pinion I think is Trinity or (maybe HPI) - Got it from my LHS!
How hot? As far as I experienced, not at all (on asphalt and loose dirt)
Iīll try to measure the speed this weekend (have no speed checker - have to use a car or someone with a good eyeseight :p )

All this depends on if I can get some help with it...

So can someone tell me what run time I would get with a brushless setup running 8 gp1100 cells?

i usually get about 30 min if im driving on the track but driving kinda easy. if i actually try to race i get about 20 min.

mat3833, are you serious? Your running gp1100 cells? I was expecting to hear around 10 minutes tops. You must be running lipo's right?
