I am running a hyperion 5000 and a mamba 25 esc. The motor does not overheat like others say. With a 12t pinion gear this is a great dirt track setup.http://www.b-p-p.com/products.php?cat=36

Warp 4 2 Turn with a three cell LiPo. You can use the Mamba 25 ESC.
GREAT motor. Lots of torque and great top speed...........great motor for the Half8.

Yes, I have the Warp 4 2 Turn motor and a three cell LiPo. I can't compare it to the Hyperion motor (I have never used one) but the Warp motor is great. Lots of torque, great top end, and stays cool. The Warp 4 produces a noticeable "whistling" sound when it is running so it's easy to keep track of you car!! :D
Last weekend I was running on an indoor off-road track designed for 1/8th and 1/10th trucks and buggies. The back stretch is probably 140 feet long. I got to the beginning of the back stretch right behind a fast nitro 1/8th buggy. Half way through the back stretch, I was passed him.
Great motor!
Thanks,
Matt
