the 370 =)

Aon Electric makes a heatsink especially for the 4900. You would need to mod it, I believe, so that it would fit with the motor mount. Should just be a simple swipe of the dremel. Of course, I'll just stick with the cheapo 3Racing heatsinks.

Clarification: AON does not make a heat sink for 24mm diameter (speed 300/270) motor as of yet.

Several modelers who are excellent with their hands and tools (such as Pimpsmurf) were able to modify the 28mm heat sink to fit the smaller diameter motor. There are several companies that make reasonable priced heat sinks.

AON will release the proper heat sink when the offical Killer Series motor for the 300/370 size are released.

I just remembered a picture of a CNC'd finned heatsink in a flyer you sent me with my motor.

BTW, Do you have ceramic bearings for the 4900? That would be something you guys would have to install, correct?

...I would be wary of using the open ended AON in an off-road application...You DONT want crap gettin' in there...

...The picture is of the 3R 280 heat sink...Mounts PERFECTLY with the fins of to the side instead of straight up and down...COmes in different colours but looks great in RED ;) #MHS002/RE @ Dinball...TWO will cover the WHOLE motor with a couple of mmm overhang but with no negative effects...

Sorry, AON does not carry ceramic bearings at this time. Personally, I have not had great luck with the ceramic bearings unlike others.

You can press out the bearings after unscrewing the front endbell. Be careful about unscrewing the front endbell, you don't want to stress the stator can (squeezing it out of shape). Then the endbell will not go back or come out again. The rearend bell is glued in.

Open ended endbells can be purchased down the road, but for ground/hydro vehicles, it is not recommended. Too many hazzardous items can go into the motor. If you don't believe me, then drop a magnet unto the ground....
