well if you only do 1/16 stuff the max you will use is 2 amps. but if you do 1/10 you can use up to 7 amps(i think) i would get either. but dont pass these up: http://www.b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=e_EOS_7i and this one: http://www.b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=d_EOS_5I

Both of them (I believe) require a 12V power supply or a car battery. The Dynamite Vision Plus Ultra does up to 5 amps on a car battery, and up to 2 amps when pluged into the wall. Works great for me, but my lipo is only 2100mah. Plus you should only pay 80-90 for the Dynamite charger...

The ice has a few more features that work really well for truck/car users....
Multiple charging methods and detection......
has temp. cutoff ($8 probe)
cycle packs....charge....discharge and record results....
custom display graphs for evaluating packs.....
motor break in feature.....
5 year guarantee....
Again you need a power supply to make it work......

Oh yes. The Ice charger is cooler than crap.

The Dynamite charger is kinda cheesy. It works great and can charge from 100ma-5000ma (in 50ma increments), but it only displays current voltage, peak voltage, amps, and time. =/

It works really well, but it doesn't do cycling, or any of the other neeto stuff there.

key phrase is 'heavy as a brick'. In that time frame, that would be a good thing. That means it has a big transformer. It should last for ever if you take decent care of it.
