typically i prefer alloy in it's natural state but i have been know to do full color chassis's :p

black gives it that sleep look which can be cool

Black with the milled out areas in white or silver

right, like anodize the basic part first, then mill out the details, leaving them silver, this looks nice with any color. IMO this would look best with blue anodizing, and would match the blue/white body great :D

JonteJsson, that was NICE!! :D

Im gonna use blue on my car, but only som "details", like: shocktowers, shocks (gottem already), wheelnuts, batteryholders, the dummy head and the antennholder! :) Thats for the beginnig. But some things im NEVER gonna buy in alu for my H8 is: wheels, wing and chassis.... but those things in carbon would be very nice! :)

The problem with that is you have machined away the protective coating that anodiseing dose. Unless thay are going through a second treatment. And that is highly unlikely due to costs of double anadising. It costs a lot more to do it a second time becuse it takes longer. It dose look good though.

CAW do you machine anerled and then do a magnetic hardining or do you machine it in its T6 form?

RURC, we do our magnetic hardining last. Sometimes on some parts we will jig up a run and countersink after anodizing for a silver look. We also only do our tapping after the part is anodized due to the aggressive etching that takes place in the anodizing process. As you know we do not want our small 2 and 3mm threads eaten away by the etching. So in short we debur, media polish, 36 hours for a nice shine, before we anodize. Then I pack and hand deliver the parts to the anodizer. I pay extra to have them de oiled after drying, then each piece wrapped so there is no scuffing. I then pick them up. No shipping is allowed. It is a 200 mile round trip for me to take the parts down, then pick them up a week later. Sometimes I wonder why I do it  CAW.

i picked blue...all blue if i boguht alloy for my h-8 i wouldnt get any other color except blue...i dont know why but theres just something about blue anodized aluminium thats just really hott.....and it always looks neat and clean not too dark not too bright..... THE PERFECT ANODIZING COLOR!
