Those of you with the Hyperion 600 and a 3Racing Alum motor mount -

1. Did you use the smaller mounting holes on the 6000 or the larger holes?

2. Neither seem to line up perfectly with the mount - did you have to enlarge the mounting holes on the 3Racing motor mount?

3. What size screws did u use to mount the motor?

Thanks

Enlarge holes in motor mount only try 3mm screws on can and mount motor with one screw then elongate other hole in motor mount so it lines up.

I didn't have a problem mounting it without modding the mount.

I just used the smaller screws and it went right in without issue. It should work great without moding anything if you have the right screws.

yea pimp, as i look closer - the smaller holes look like they may not need any modding of the motor mount.

I recommend that you use 3mm screws. these can be obtained in various lengths with nearly any head configuration and material composition you can imagine. 2.5/2.6mm screws are harder to find in lengths (you must pay close attention to the length the screw extends from the motor side of the mount) and materials. If you already have the exact screw and don't need to change it, then ignore this post.

yeah, the stock screws work great with the hypy. =)

My ST enroute (bought used) has no motor - so no screws (I presume).

According to the manual - looks like stock motor screws are 2.6 x 6 mm.

I thought they were 2.5x6... I guess the manual knows better. Contact troy@b-p-p.com or whoever sold you the hyperion and find out what screws they use. pretty sure it's M2.5.

Most times a 2.5mm will work in a 2.6 thread anyway. I have never had a problem with it. This is especially true when you are talking 2.6 self tapping going into plastic. A 2.5mm standard thread machine cap screw will work better.

Turns out the Tekin Mini Rage ESC came with 2 screws that worked.
