Unless you are getting a really good deal on one, I would spend the money. I have seen a lot of these at our track go bad.
I am using the stock esc.Might wana change some of the electronics.Yes.I am getting a gd price for this..but how is the compatibility?

...i ran it on 8 cells and it went fine...i cant GUARANTEE that yours WONT but it should be fine...I think there were about 3 of all up that used it at different times...
care to share what type of servo you used?Do you sealed the esc prevent water splash?

...umm...the servo was a HITEC 85MG and no i didnt waterproof it...i will ride in mude and crap but i wont run in or through water...Thats a no-no in my experience...but if you did then YES I would waterproof it as best i could while still providing enough air for it to not get too hot...
Ok!thanks.Thats explains why my stock esc go nuts with all the jitters....It must have got some water inside while running down the road....

In one of my H8s I am using this particular ESC with 8 cell 1100mah NiMh batteries and have had no issues through about 20 runs. Only thing I had to do was reverse the throttle control for some reason and I was not sure if this was normal. Never heard from ASC on this question.
But as mentioned elsewhere, I would only get it if you are getting a good deal on the price.
