Well... I want to build a h8 from the start.
I wanted to know first if it was worth the cost? I have a kyosho transmitter (no receiver) and stock h8 engine for now.
I kind of want to go the ST route and get standard type pieces. No huge upgrades as of yet.
maybe pitbul chasis and aluminum shock towers only? I think the st std shocks are oil right?

Does anyone have a parts list of what I would need?
I would get a h8 but I hate to spend the extra $$ on parts to throw away, specially when I would want another engine.
Mainly want stock but no shocks, engine, shock towers.
Also, I have a Kyosho Perfex Tx, is there a place to buy the Rx?

Hey Bud
I did this with a Xray once bought the whole thing in parts off ebay and ended up with over 1500.00 bucks spent.
you would be way better off to buy a roller from someone and then getting the extras you want.

Problem is no one is going to be selling second-hand STs for a while. Even if you got a roller for $75 with no electronics or anything, you would end up blowing tons of cash upgrading to the ST. The best thing to do is get the ST and upgrade it. Towers are cheap anyway, and (almost) no one wants the stock motors. =)
Since I would probably end up trying to turn the ST into a monster truck, I'm going to get a mini LST instead. haha

Well... with the ST available, it got me to thinking and people telling me for bashing I really want something of a Monster truck...
So.. when money isn't tight, the tmaxx is sold, tax refund arrives... i have fed my two sons and wife... maybe try something like this?
I would consider the M LST but too many problems with them right now :(
