Has anyone tried this motor in there HALF8?

I am currently running a Rocket400 with 7 Intellect cells but my pack starts getting a little "soft" at the 6 minute mark (7 minute mains).

I used to run the BAJA motor in my mini-t and it was fast!.. but.. it is physically smaller than the Rocket400 so I'm not sure how it would do.

Anyone.. Anyone.. Bueller?

that motor will not work. it is a rebadged 280BB which will have around half the torque of the rocket or other 400 motors. If you are going to try a motor in that size, I would suggest trying a Trinity Cobalt 18 (the 14t version) as it will have much higher RPM than the 280BB (about 15k more) that might make up for the lack of torque. I have not tried this but if you are shooting for something smaller, that would be the MOST powerfull brushed 300 motor to date...but may be slow in the large mini inferno.

hello
which is the diference between the engine rocket 400 and one speed 400 Graupner knowing that I roll in 9.6 Volts
thank you in advance and has soon

The rocket runs a bit cooler and is the better choice between the 2 for sure.

I have a baja motor in my RC18T and its a very fast motor 9 minutes before it starts dumping on generic cells. Because these are 2 different vehicles, I am not sure about putting it in a mini inferno, because my issue has been with torque output, I would go with a stronger motor like an AON 4900. I dont think the baja has enough torque for the mini inferno, its designed for a lighter, higher final ratio mini T.

it will also not have enough torque because its still a smaller can. you need to stick with the 400class motors or go brushless if you want your halfeight to be faster.

Get the "high torque" version of this motor and give it a shot I dont think you will be disappointed, although I dont know if the stock electronics in the half8 are stable enough for this motor, especially with the current draw. I know my LRP micro ESC got a workout (HOT with heatsink).... :D

This motor would be fine in a 18t or Mini T or 2 in a Mlst.
But It gets hot really fast in the H8.
I know this first hand just too small.
The first ones I saw were having overeheating problems in anything  .

the ESC is not a problem for me because I have a LRP pro sport (limit 7 turns) for 1/10 touring car...
is the high torque version of the LRP motor is better than the new Xspeed High torque??
thank you ;)

...I imagine that a LRP (one of my favourites :o ) would walk all over an HT and THEN some...Try it and see!! We would love to hear your results...

A better choice would be the new Trinity Micro Monster Pro Racing motor... It's a 17 turn badass with all the options...

still not enough torque, but more than the rest....

Really? I figured 2 17 turn motors would be more than enough... Someone mentioned using a couple 17 turn motors and popping crazy wheelies, etc. Maybe they have a locked slipper? *shrug*

How about just those insane motors from losi? *shrug*

ohhh...for the MLST? I run those for the MLST and they are crazy! but for the half8, still not a great choice. I
