I just got to taking the stock motor out. First off...that motor shaft? why is it sooooo long o.o. But anyway...I dont have a single pinion that fits that motor shaft. The micro pinions dont work and neither do the 540 pinions i have. What are you guys using? Bit?

I cannot be sure what the real size is until I get mine but I imagine its a 48 pitch METRIC gear. Seeing how Kyosho is metric, I am guessing thats the mesh they are using. Just like tamiya's. You can get press-on pinions or use Duratrax Mini Quake ones. They should work for the 400 size motor shaft.

The pitch isnt the problem. Its the actually circumference of the drive shaft. On one18th they think its 2.3mm.

...Correct...the pitch is 48...

the standard shaft diameter of the 380/400 motor is 2.3mm. You can use a 540 pinion (metric size), but you will need the copper tubing trick! It works perfectly!

We have em on our site.....or you can use our site for reference if you would like to purchase them elsewhere.

NOTE: We include the copper tubing on our Metric pinions!!!
